A little extra with every order.
A thoughtful next step for June & Olive. You decide what happens next.
Most dinners end at the entrée.
In this sample, 64% of dinner orders include no side or dessert. A thoughtful pairing suggestion could give guests a reason to add one.
What’s in a dinner order
642 dinner orders in an illustrative item-level sample
What we know. What we think.
Average order value is $37.87 ($48,620 ÷ 1,284 orders), compared with $37.03 in the prior period. In the illustrative dinner sample, 411 of 642 orders (64%) contained an entrée with no side or dessert. 96 marketing-eligible guests placed only entrée-only dinner orders.
Some dinner guests may not know about sides or desserts that pair well with what they already order. A light suggestion could encourage an add-on, but larger orders are not automatically more profitable, and guests may simply prefer smaller meals.
How did Sidework find this?
Average order value = total revenue ÷ total orders for the 30-day demonstration period. The basket breakdown uses a fictional 642-order dinner sample with item categories, separate from the daily revenue totals.
Menu pricing, item margins and kitchen capacity are not included. A pairing offer should be checked against contribution margin before testing. Any change in order value is a hypothesis to measure, not a forecast.
